EUnitas Committees

EUnitas offers a range of committees for professional development, networking, and social activities.

Education Committee

This committee is directly involved in all matters concerning academic aspects of the Bachelor of European Public Health study. It works on enhancing the course through constant feedback from fellow students, and meetings with the course coordinators. Apart from that, this committee also organizes a variety of educational events (eg. Workshops, panels, debates) to further broaden the scope of the students regarding their academic journey.  Some of the recurring events in which the committee participates in are as follows:

Bachelor Open Day for prospective students (twice a year: October and February)

EPH Thesis Conference for third-year students in Semester 2, period 5 (June)

Extracurricular statistics workshops for first-year (and resit students) in Semester 2, period 6 (June)

Provision of the Graduation Gowns for the graduates in Semester 5, period 1 (October)

At the Bachelor Open Day, this committee will come up with different ideas on how to represent both the study and the association (eg. Mind maps, posters, etc.). There will also be a possibility to represent the association at the stand during the open day. The organization of the EPH thesis conference is tightly linked to the activities of this committee as well. Some of the preparations include receiving the pitch presentations from the students, organizing the students into different lecture halls, and monitoring the presentations on the day itself. For many years now, EUnitas has organized extracurricular Statistic Workshops to aid students in successfully passing their courses. The committee is responsible for ensuring all of the workshops run smoothly, the rooms are booked in time, students have access to all necessary materials, and the times/dates are coordinated with the tutor well in advance. Lastly, this committee also ensures that all graduates will receive a graduation gown either a couple of days before or on the day of their ceremony (these need to be ordered well in advance). Education committee also helps and oversee the Student Evaluation Panel (SEP) of Europena Public Health with advice and structuring.

PR Committee

The PR Committee is responsible for shaping and maintaining the public image of the organization. Working closely with the Head of PR, this team ensures clear, engaging, and consistent communication across all platforms, helping to strengthen the association’s visibility and outreach. The committee plays a key role in promoting events, managing social media, and fostering relationships with external stakeholders.A major part of the committee’s work is overseeing the organization’s social media presence. This includes creating and scheduling posts, engaging with the audience, and ensuring that all content reflects the association’s values and objectives. Whether through social media graphics, videos, newsletters, or brochures, the PR team works to develop compelling content that keeps members informed and excited about upcoming events and initiatives.Beyond online communication, the PR Committee is also responsible for promoting events and ensuring they receive the attention they deserve. This involves designing promotional materials, writing event descriptions, and using digital marketing strategies to maximize attendance and engagement. Additionally, the team collaborates with other student associations, media outlets, and external partners to build strong connections and expand the organization’s network. To ensure that all efforts align with the organization’s goals, the PR Committee works closely with the Head of PR and the Marketing responsible. Regular meetings are held to plan promotions, evaluate engagement, and explore new ideas for improving outreach. The team also collaborates with the board to maintain a consistent and professional brand image across all communication channels.Joining the PR Committee is a great opportunity for students interested in public relations, social media management, and marketing. It’s a chance to gain hands-on experience in content creation, branding, and strategic communication while working in a dynamic and creative environment. By helping to shape the organization’s public presence, PR Committee members play a crucial role in keeping members engaged, attracting new participants, and strengthening the association’s reputation.

Community Networking Committee

The Community Networking (CN) Committee has the aim of providing opportunities and mechanisms for the professional and social growth of EPH students. With the understanding that many graduates of EPH will enter relevant fields that rely significantly on interpersonal skills, strong analytical capacities, and the ability to establish strong networks, the CN Committee is determined to help ease the transition from academic settings to professional ones. Members of the CN Committee are expected to adhere to the basic Code of Conduct stipulated in the EUnitas handbook and also respect the norms and expectations established in the beginning of the semester (e.g. being on time, fulfilling assignments, communicating well, etc.). After passing an interview,  members will be accepted and can look forward to taking charge of part of or a whole project. Delegation is a key principle of this committee such that members will ideally leave being able to say that they have direct project management experience. Some of the activities of the CN Committee include (but are not limited to)

Organising and executing the EUnitas podcast (in collaboration with Education and PR Committee)

Organising and executing workshops related to professional development

Planning, writing, and publishing the EUnitas Echo (in collaboration with the PR Committee)

The activities, outputs, and goals of the CN Committee largely depend on its current cohort so it’s important to set these goals at the beginning of the semester, have regular feedback on the process and members, and set realistic deadlines. Collaboration with other committees is encouraged to ensure that EUnitas grows in cohesion and also lessen burdens on individuals in committees.

We are also open to suggestions from students who have ideas for new events.By bringing people together, the Events Committee helps strengthen the EUnitas community and ensures that student life remains vibrant and inclusive.
